    Default Christmas Stockings

    Hi!
I am new to quilting and new to this group. I completed my first baby quilt recently, with some help from my daughter. It is for the other daughter and her 4 month old son.

Now I want to make Christmas stockings for both grandsons, the other being 4 weeks. I'm looking for any design ideas out there and THANK YOU in advance very much.

    Debbie

I did a quick GOOGLE and hit these:

    http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-qui...-Stocking.aspx

I was surprised to realize that the second one was one I had made a while back and it came out lovely.

    Good luck!

I made a couple of cute and easy patchwork stockings from the stocking pattern in a book called "Quilting for Busy Boomers". You might check and see if your library has it.

Thought I had a pic around here somewhere! I would definitely use the pattern again. It's quite simple and you can really showcase the fabrics. Plus, they hold plenty for the kids

I believe the actual pattern called for the front and back of the stocking to be pieced, but to save time I pieced the front only and made the back from a solid piece of fabric, since it won't be seen much anyway.
