These are wonderful! How difficult would it be to make these into mantle runners? I have a client with a HUGE fireplace
that I would like to make a Christmas mantle runner for. It is 87" long so my 2nd question is how long to make the
runner? The one with the trees would be perfect since the house is in the mtns. & surrounded by Ponderosa Pines.
    Thanks for any help. Vickie

Love these!..........I would outline the trees and the ornaments and do a small stipple in the white and black then
do a SITD on the Bargello..........I'm not a fan of putting beads or buttons on runners because I like them to lay
flat in case they want to put a candle or something else on it.

I love the one with the trees...I have made one of these runners...time consuming but not very hard...maybe I will add some trees to mine this year or just make another one.....

Very, very nice - and I also love the way you varied the "widths" of the fabric strips in the second one. I gotta try that. Beautiful job! As for quilting ideas, I'll be watching this too. :-)

There are two patterns left that are being sold by a seller on ebay in case anyone really wants it. It shows both the ornaments and trees in the pattern. That's the same as the Connecting Threads pattern ..... ornaments and trees are included, I believe. It can either have the black or the white background (or anything else your heart desires), your choice. I think the kit being sold at Connecting Threads contains the black background but you would have to check that out to be sure.

Edited: The Connecting Threads kit says it is a quilt as you go pattern so I am wondering if it only needs quilting around the ornaments/trees to finish off?
