    Default Christmas tree skirt

    I am hoping to make a new tree skirt hopefully ready by next Christmas. I lost my other one so I will make a new one...... Any ideas?

    There wasn't enough time this year so a tree skirt will be on my list too.

    I'm hoping to make the Triple Dresden Christmas Tree skirt. The pattern does $5 or $6. Google it.

    I have made this Christmas Tree Skirt pattern 5 times. It always turns out and I've been able to use up Christmas fabric scraps. I've had the pattern for years but just looked it up and the pattern is still available. You can find it at QuiltWoman.com. and the pattern number is CMQ-109, or you can type in Tree Skirt and it will show up on page 2. There are several patterns for tree skirts on this website. I absolutely love the results I have had with this pattern and if I could figure out how to submit a photo, I'd love to send you a photo of the one that I kept for myself.

    I found this on youtube, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm not sure how good the instructions are, but this fellow calls himself Mr. Domestic and he sews. This is a video on how to make a hexagonal tree skirt. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGK2IRLvHDE

    Oooh, I like that one Irish. I bookmarked that. I was going to look for Christmas fabrics on sale at the LQS. I don't have many scraps so I need to get out what I have a pick up some more.

    Me too!!! ... I like how rich and luxurious the sample one is.


    But CashsMom .... you don't need more fabric ......

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]606036[/ATTACH]I made this one with a 25”/9 degree wedge ruler and strip sets. It was pretty easy and fun to do!

    Triangle Frenzy Hexagon-Christmas topper

    this is mine (prior to adding a grommet for a table tree). It is called Triangle Frenzy Hexagon and it is easy....you use border prints...the bigger the better! I used the Creative Grids 12” 60 degree ruler. Wilmington Zprints has lots of large birder prints...my favs! You can make the tree skirt as large as you want it to be. Just make the rows longer and add additional rows.

    This one is Trim the Tree by Cindi Edgerton. It is paper pieced and while it took me a while to do it , it looks great under the tree!
