Wow, how did you do that???? Thank you soooooo much. You are absolutely correct, the dark green makes them pop!! I have switched around the hexigons and put all medium or dark on outside, but on the light muslin it still looked washed out. Now, thanks to you, I KNOW I need a dark background! I can't thank you enough!

I think the colors are just right. Not washed out at all... soothing. I love Civil War fabrics anyway & this is going to be one spectacular quilt! Great job!!!

    Would love to see yours!!!!

The very dark green 'pathways' really brightens the other fabrics.

I think they are lovely. Also those are the authentic colors of Civil War era fabrics and grandmother's flower garden is an authentic pattern for that time and type of fabric. They would look strange if you popped in a bright blue or yellow that was not of that era. Keep going! It is beautiful.

I think they are very pretty. Civil War quilts were not bright colored.

Aren't you glad you decided to do this? It will be a great quilt. May I suggest unbleached muslin for your background? I think the color and slight flecks of brown will add to your quilt and it's so neutral all of your flowers should stand out beautifully. Keep us posted.
