Civil War Quilt Fabric
Out of curiosity, is there a on line source/store that you would recommend to get Civil War pattern quilt fabric? I just picked up Martingale's Big Book of Civil War Quilts. I Love the book and want to make the majority of the projects. My problem is the stores around me do not carry these type of fabric patterns and if they do its very selective. Thank you.

Piecing the Past is a great website for Civil war fabrics and patterns. She does free BOWs too!

You might want to look through Joann’s Premium cotton quilt fabric. The “vintage” line has some civil war-esque designs. It’s not perfect, but it’s accessible and affordable.

Many on-line stores will have a search option by type of fabric, and call these 1800s reproductions (as opposed to 1930s reproductions). Fat Quarter Shop comes to mind; their website is one of the easiest and quickest to use, and shows the fabrics very accurately.

There's a quilt shop near me called Primitive Gatherings. They specialize in that fabric, although they also have some other styles. http://www.primitivegatheringsca.com/
