    OOPs. My friend used old blocks made by her mother, framed them and gave them to her kids. They turned out great. Maybe that would be a way to salvage some of the blocks.

    Beverly, That is very close in pattern and colors! I would present it to your niece with both pictures and the note that you wrote on the QB. It will be priceless.
