I hope F & P takes stock in the power of the comments on this thread, as it sounds like we could close the magazine down. I too will not be renewing, clothing advertising does not belong in quilter's magazines.

Ditto! I too have not renewed my subscription. Too much advertising, and they are going in too many directions with new products and crafts. (now the family is involved!!)

I like many others, have communicated (or attempted to) with their customer service dept - but to no avail. I did not renew, and sent them a detailed explanation of why. From everything I see and hear, they continue to lose existing customers, and it is really those new quilters who subscribe - but they too generally do not last more than one or two years before becoming dis-illusioned with the magazine.

I sent my first sub. to F & P about 1 year ago. Shortly after that I started getting the Women Within catalogs, and that is the company of the clothing catalog insert. I suspected that F&P sold my name to them because I had never even heard of the catalog before. Then I saw the insert in this months issue. I also decided not to renew my subscription.

I didn't renew mine either. There are others out there I like better.

When I first subscribed to F&P whoever typed up my subscription hit the j and the k at the same time.. so my name on the magazing is KJudie.... because of that I have been able to easily track who they have sold my name to.. its been interesting.. I get quite a lot of things addressed to KJudie, and I know just where they got my name and address! Thanks a lot F&P!!

I let ALL of my subscriptions run out a long time ago. I get what I like, and only what I think I will use (sometimes I "use" it only to dream). Since I'm not receiving any magazines in the mail, my trash mail has also been downsized. Now if I could just stop all of the charity mail. If I send one contribution, I'm bombarded with more begging. IMHO, if they'd stop sending all the cute address labels and coins in the mail, they'd have more money for their cause. I sound like a "scrooge" but there's a limit.

OOPS> please excuse the venting and vearing off the subject.

I have not renewed my subscription either. Glad to know that others agree with me.

I go to my local library. They carry 4 different quilt mag and when they are older there is a checkout sticker on them and they can be taken home.
