I'm a fan of these. Have tried the hair clips but wasn't impressed. I love these for binding as it means no more pin pricks for me. You won't be sorry you bought them. Happy quilting.

I've looked at them but thought they were a little too pricey for me but we just got back from the local Indian Casino and I won so I'm off to spend some of my winnings LOL We're celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary today with dinner and a little gambling. I'm new to quilting so slowly I'm building a stash and thought these would be good to have too. I'm just trying my hand at quilting after sewing for so many years but only have taken a couple of classes online, bought a few kits too but have learned so much from you LADIES, thank you!

As others have mentioned, I use hair clips from the dollar store. I like the bright colors.

I have not used these but a few years ago my DIL gave me some quilting supplies for Christmas and included were those silver clips girls use in their hair. What a godsend for binding because I was always sticking myself with the pins. Love, love, love them.

Like SteadyStitching I use the Sharon Shamber method here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PE0Yq9iGlc
No clips needed and it holds without sticks and pricks. I am surprised that more people don't know about and use this method.

On bed size quilts , I use wonder under ( a skinny strip ) to "baste" the binding into place on the whole quilt prior to sewing. That way no pins no clips .
