OUCH. Been many years but remember too well the surprise when it happened. Pain not so bad going in but had a hard time getting it out. Haven't sewn a lot for so long forgot about it but glad to have the reminder so I watch more careful getting back to the machine work.

    I'm in 2 clubs....

I have sewed through my finger 3 times in my life so far & the last time it happened our GS was over to sew. When I did he he immediately got a pr of pliers to her out so he pulled the needle out, got some band-aids & fixed Grama all up he was so proud but it hurt something fierce, NO BLOOD ON THE QUILT!

I had to take my daughter to the ER so when we were done with that we went to a quilt shop it was soooooooooo busy my friend there let me cut my own fabric. While cutting it the entire brd slipped & I cut my L thumb all the way through the nail, well needless to say it was back to the ER since we couldn't stop the bleeding for 8 stitches! NO BLOOD ON THE FABRIC! Every time I go back there it's funnier then heck I'v learned a lesson let them do the cutting even if it's busy & you know them :)

I don't belong to that club yet but I think a bandaid and a small fabric shopping trip is in order. Then you will feel better in the morning. Hope it feels better soon!

Sorry about your accident. I also joined a similar club over the weekend when I cut my finger with the rotary cutter.

Well, dear friend, this is a club that I have not yet joined, and I hope I *never* join! So glad that the needle did not hit bone, and that you did not bleed on your quilt. I hope you have happier sewing after this! Carolyn
