Thank you all for your help/ suggestions! Alex said he likes blue, and can see blue and yellow. Come to find out, his college colors will be dark blue and gold. How nice! So here is the pic of the quilt. One of these days I should write a tutorial on how to make these. They are fast (about 10 hours) and easy (only plain sewing machine, no hand work!)

How nice Chris. I am sure you learned so much about color blindness. How special to have a quilt especially made for you to take to college! Bless you for your love and care for your nephew. :-D
