color blocking

I read today that there is a new concept in soft retail - clothing, bedding, home decor - this spring called color blocking. Basically it's using two colors in the same article of clothing or several colors in drapes, etc. Where have they been?? We quilters have been doing that for centuries!!!

You bet! Get a lot of artists together, whether fabric, paint, clay or glass - you got a whole lot of creative going on! Here's to art and ALL COLORS!

I noticed that on one of the previous seasons of project runway. One of the participants kept being called our for her "color blocking". I kept thinking she'd be better suited as a quilter and her outfits would have been better suited as quilts
