I had used some red material on the back of the quilts that I had made for my granddaughters for Christmas, the dye wore off on my beige sewing machine. So I ran to the store and bought the Shout color catchers, I used about 4 or 5 in the wash but the red did not blled onto the snow white. They work and I highly endorse them.

I use the shout color catcher sheets and washed red and a piece of white fabric together. Just to see what happens. I was amazed that it worked. Now I use them all the time.

I use the Shout color catchers...and they work. They've saved me many times...I always use them on my Quilts for Kids quilts because I don't prewash the kit pieces.

Joann's Fabric also sells a dye catching cloth that looks a lot like a wash cloth. They're good for 30? uses; I've used mine about 10 times now and they still work.

I never heard of them (I must lead a very sheltered life) so I understand they come in sheets, like dryer sheets? They go in the wash? Good Lord, I sound like a ding dong, lol

Love them, and not just for quilting fabric.

I've used the Shout and all turned out just fine.......

Went a long time not using it but with a red, black and white quilt, I decided to try it.......and I will definitely continue to do so.

I bought the carbona color catcher. It's good for 30 uses and I am really pleased with it.
