Martelli has been running a 50% off sale on their mats over Mothers Day weekend. Sale ends today

with macular degeneration which affects the ability to see colors correctly, I found that the green Olfa mats, which I've had for years blend with some of the colors I cut. I use rulers and not the lines on the mats. The yellow and purple mats give me more choices when cutting

Mine is red and I don't have any issues with it. I also turn it over and use the wrong side!

I too use the lines on the mat to make sure my fabric is even before I cut using my ruler. Would one of you folks who got a mat from Amazon please send a link? Thanks -- don't have the money for a Martelli even on sale (would love it, may put it on my Christmas list).

I have a Fiskars mat, yellow on one side. Works fine as far as being able to see but I think it's dulling my blade faster than my Olfa mat. Or I could just be imagining that.

I only use my lines to line up not measure. Being off a few hairs will throw the whole cut off.

I have 3 really large green mats and 1 each white, both sides, pink, both sides. If I could get a large pink one I would buy it in a heartbeat. Jmho.

Martelli's redline sale ends today (50 percent off sitewide from what I understand.)

The baby pink and blue one I bought on Amazon as stated above is 24" x 36". They did have one size larger, but too big for the area I have.

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions; they have been most helpful. I have been looking at the Martelli mats, but shipping and the exchange rate at the moment make them prohibitive. I will be on the look out for a coloured mat that can be sent from a Canadian distributor.
