I believe someone wrote on one of the topics on this board that she had done this. You cannot color/cover a darker color with a lighter color pencil only change the shade depending on the color underneath, I would assume.

Yes, I colored a darker green over a lighter green print and it worked.

I saw a dark quilt top colored with a lighter color pencil at our quilt show this weekend, so it looks like it CAN be done.
