Have you ever seen one fabric that is all browns and greens, and right beside it is another fabric with the same pattern, but instead of green it has blue? Those fabrics are different colorways of the same design.

Thank you, All of us newbies pick up information from everyone else. Sometimes I feel stupid asking questions. But then I remember what I always told my children, the only stupid questions are the unasked ones.

Good for you for asking. Quilting has its own vocabulary, and it helps to learn it. The board is a good place to ask questions.

The above exhange is what makes this board so great. A question is asked...and someone answers. No one is made to feel foolish not knowing something.

What a great way to keep the wonderful tradition of quilting moving from individual to individual and then generation to generation! Thanks to everyone here who reaches out to us newbies! :)

Thanks Deema. I thought that it was husband, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out the D.

My DH just asked what it meant too and I told him that the H was Husband and the D was what ever I felt like it being that day. He came up with a few very interesting possibilities. We laughed alot tonight, you'd have to have been here. LOL!
