Just 7 here & the coffee is brewing and then I will start to cut my sashings. This is the project that I have the blocks finished for. I cut all the blocks & packaged them into baggies this summer and then as we camped, I would make a block in each place. I will be writing the place names on each block in black pigma pen, just for fun. http://alittlebitbiased.blogspot.ca/...-giveaway.html

WOW, My sewing schedule finally lines up with a virtual quilting day! I'm going to finish up a gift baby quilt and make a gift bag with some of the scraps. I'm single handedly trying to stamp out paper gift bags!

    Default VQD fabric flowers

Here is my first project today. The more of these you make the faster they go!

    Pattern: McCall's Quilting, March/April 2012

This flower is part of a tote bag design but I just make the pin and give them as gifts on top of packages.

The bottom flower is made from left over blocks from my scrappity- do- da quilt.

    On to my next project!

Well, I'm back from church. I have two Bow Tucks that I would like to get done today and cut out the blocks for my Dad's Christmas quilt. But I only have until 4:07 when the Yankees start! Then I'll do some hand sewing and attach buttons during the game. Sounds like everyone is off to a great start!

I am going to finish the final rows on my string pieced quilt. Then add the borders. Whoo Hooo! Another quilt top to add to the quilting pile.

I am off in a couple of hours to cut a tree down at my mom's house. We would have left already but with the Jets playing any my mom living next to the stadium we have to time our drive up and back just right so we don't get into too much traffic. I am getting ready to sit down and hand quilt while I am waiting to leave.

    Have a great day everyone.

I hope to get 3 more blocks done on my "3rd weekend in October" quilt so that I will be able to finish it next weekend! Most importantly I need to pick out what I want for a border fabric so I can order it. I am pretty new and don't have a stash so whatever I pick out I will have to buy.

thanks so much for the reminder. It is 10:19 here in the middle of country. I am going to work on getting strips put together for the first block. Then I think I will pick up the other quilt that is ready to be pieced. Those strips are driving me nutty. I have had my coffee so I should be set to go steady until noon.

Wow you are all up and going and working on fabulous projects! I slept in and am just reading the board with my morning coffee. My goal for today is to finish 3 coasters that I am working on. Nothing special, but I am trying to improve my mitered corners and binding technique. Hubby and I are in the process of packing the house for a move back to Oregon, so I do not want to start anything big....but have been contemplating learning how to make some book covers. Other than that, I will be working on my cross stitch project.
