    Hey, CoyoteQuilts,

You didn't include 35th Ave Sew & Vac. It has the largest collection of quilting fabrics in the state. They have a website too.

Then there is Patrick Lose's studio just across 32nd st from Quiltz. He h as his own line of fabric and patterns. If you call ahead you will know if he'll be there. He is a hoot to talk to and work with.

    Kevin,

I have found copies of The Country Register in most major cities. Sorry, I don't have their website. They ususally have adds from LQS's and more in the area they cover.

    As above:
Phoenix: 35th Ave Sew & Vac
actually, because of my last job I went to ALL the quilt stores in the greater Phoenix area. Some are not considered LQS's because they have more than one store and sell machines and whatever other criteria the independent quilt store organization uses.

    Albuerquerque, MN:
Southwest Decoratives and Kokopelli Quilting Co. features a lot of SW fabric and designs.

I envy you your travels. Do you take a FW with you or hand work or what?

Delma, you sound like you live where I live. We're an hour from anywhere worth going to.

Kevin, Houston has quilt shops as do most of the out lying areas...about 2 hours or more from here to the closest one. Tyler, TX has a few...about 1 1/2 from here. Since you hit the larger cities, I would agree with checking out the area yellow pages or phone books. That's what I do or go on line to look for them. Good Luck and Good Quilting!

If you're in St Louis check out The Quilted Fox and Jackman's. Both are within 30 minutes of the airport.

What a wonderful adventure. Portland Oregon has many wonderful fabric and quilt shops. My favorite is The Pine Needle in Lake oswego which is further away from PDX. A new store just opened in Vancouver Washington called Fiddlesticks. That is closer to the airport. I haven't been there yet, just heard about it on the Modern Quilt Guild blog. Happy flying and Happy Holidays.
