Your computer may be feeling its age. I had to retire my beloved IMac because it couldn't handle newer applications.

Ok, went through and got rid of all the temp files. That is one thing I've not done before. Also took a few things off my start up and definitely was a lot faster come up after reboot. Thanks for all your suggestions!

Have you tried to defrag? That should group things together and make your computer run better.

I use Fixcleaner which I bought online for $40. I love it. Recommended by Microsoft and others. I run McAfee in my computer also.
This works great for me. Cleans up everything.

My husband is a computer guy and uses Avast. sounds like you may have some nasty viruses on that computer. Maybe
a good check up is in order.

I agree with this one.Slow computer sounds like a few Trojans may be lurking.Avast and AVG are good protectors. All anti virus programs are only chasing after the viruses after they are discovered.

I usually do a system restore. Works for me. Then run virus scan. Good luck.
