Do you mean for piecing you use that size? Maybe that's what I should try-a bigger needle...
I used 90/14 for both piecing and SID without problem.

Even with CT Essentials I try to clean my bobbin case every time I change
bobbin. Keeps my machine healthy. ;)

Me, too, Easy, and I discovered I had less lint to clean out :)

Thanks for the thought of using a 90 needle size. I well have to give that a try. Since the thread shredded and broke and was really a mess. I have been using it on a Brother Innovia 4000 disney.
I have found that on the different machines some threads work good and others mess up.
I well let you know I will change the needle and see how it works. Thanks again for the help kjym Kathy

I noticed a lot more (like maybe 2-3 times more) lint when using CT thread than using the more spendy threads. I clean with every bobbin change. I forgot to the last time and today pulled out a piece about half the size of a pea when compressed. I'm using Konfetti Wonderfil thread.

I love CT threads & use the cones for colors I use the most e.g. white beige black. The prices are great also.

I purchased the Essential BRIGHTs and the FRESH thread collection sets. ($65.70) Beautiful thread.....
    BUT
I've tried it and my machine does NOT like it! It kept breaking.
Soooo....I thought, OK, I'll use it for sewing on bindings. etc. It tangles & knots up constantly!

Never again will I buy anything other than Guttermann!!

And now I'm stuck with 30 spools of thread I can't use!
(only 4 opened and maybe a yd used on those)

Lady T, I don't know why the thread is not working for you. I love it and so does one of my quilting buddies. Are you going to sell it?

What size needle do you have on your machine? I had the same problem
at first but when I used a slightly bigger needle it was fine. I believe I have
    a Schmetz 90/14 now.
