I have used their batiks. They are excellent, soft, great quality. Like all batiks, they need to be prewashed. I use Retayne to set the color. The darks ones will bleed if you don't prewash. Their prices are good, too.

I also think they are thinner. I am working on a quilt with all batiks and I needed more lights. I ordered 4 different lights and I don't like them. They are noticibly thinner than the Bali Handpaints that I am using. I don't even want to use them in the quilt, it's so thin. I held up theirs with a light behind it and could actually SEE my hand, not just the outline. I compared it to a light of Bali and the difference is huge.

Well, i am thinking they are also less expensive to purchase than Balis. Probably goes back to the old saying "You get what you pay for" Although, some places like JoAnn's are sure marking up the poorer quality fabrics so they can sell at deep discounts to make us think we are getting a bargain
