    Default Connecting threads polyester thread

Does anyone know if the polyester thread from Connecting Threads is thinner than their cotton thread? I like their cotton thread but find it a tad thick sometimes. Thanks.

CT poly thread is 70 wt and the cotton thread is 50 wt. I use a lot of the poly cone thread piecing. It's very economical and no lint.

you can get 40 wt, up to 60wt polyester thread from connecting threads- 60wt is thinner/finer than 40wt. I think the cotton quilting thread is 40wt- which is a heavier thread. the higher the weight number the finer the thread. 12 weight thread is like 6 strands of embroidery floss- 100 wt silk thread is fine like a strand of hair.

The essential pro poly is 70 weight, so it is thinner than their cotton which is 50.
I use both on my longarm, depending on the design.

All their thread information is on their website. It's not hard to find. http://www.connectingthreads.com/cfP...AboutThreadDC3

I use the Essential Pro thread for my quilting and I love it when I want a less noticeable thread. I also use their cotton thread when I really want to make the quilting stand out.

Ditto. I use their Polyestor and their cotton threads all the time on my long arm.
