Default Connecting threads - variegated thread

I use connecting threads' cotton spools when piecing. I use the polyester for long arming. I see that they now have a variegated thread set in spools. I am wondering if any of you using the cotton spools for piecing have also used them in your long arm with no problem. I called customer service and they said that the variegated is made the same way as the other spools in the same factory. I am really thinking of picking some up. What do you think?

I have used the variegated threads in my CJII with no problems, but I personally don’t care for the look of their variegated threads on a quilt. The color change is very abrupt and regularly spaced. The good news is you can still use it for piecing if you don’t like it for quilting.

I have most all of CT's cotton and polyester threads. I use them mainly for quilting on my Innova. True the cotton is very linty and the polyester is very strong. Since all my quilts are gifts to others I have to save where I can without lowering my quality of quilting. So far I've had no issues with any of their threads and I also use their variagated too.

I don't have a problem when I use their thread on my DSM.

Thank you all. I think I will give it a try. I can always use it in my DSM like Wesing said.

I have used the connecting threads variegated thread to quilt with onto a black background. It came out wonderful. I did a meandering on this quilt and it came out perfect in my opinion.
