    The cat print is adorable.

The way you have the fabric strips laid out around it looks nice -

I would do the same. That is one of those fabrics I would find hard to cut up.

Or a modified Around the World with a large chunk of the cats for the center panel. Take a look at the kit for the Julie Pashkis Catkins panel, I think at Hancock's Paducah web site.

How about Twisted Star, from Quilt in a Day. It's one of their signature patterns.

    Tote.
I like your orange, green, and red for the other fabrics used.

Use the cat fabric as a center panel, and build around it. Could do pinwheels, log cabins, etc. to incorporate lots of colors.

Any creative thoughts on how to use them together, and which pattern to try? I'm trying to figure out whether to use the electric blue as a filler or if I should use black against the brights...I know I'll need some more of some color.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
So perfect!!! wish I had more help! what fabric maker made the the 'cats' ? If you don't mind sharing.

Here's the perfect pattern to complement that print!

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-143414-1.htm

It is "Cats with the locked tails". I have a friend who adores cats and found this blog pointing the way to the free pattern.

    Enjoy!

I think I'd use the cats as a center panel, border with black & then use a couple of the solid-colored strips to make more borders. My last border would be the floral on the right & I'd probably sash it in black.

Thanks for all the replies! I have something to "chew over" now!

I wish my skills were up to that 'locked tail' pattern -it's awesome, but I'm still fairly new to the craft!

The selvage on it tell me it's a Michael Miller fabric, called 'Psycho Cat', lol. I got it from an Etsy seller...have been searching for more, but no luck so far. I just LOVE the colors!
