I recently ordered the book Batik Gems from Amazon.com, but I would like to purchase batik fabrics before it arrives (ETA JUne 7, 2010). Does anyone happen to know the required yardage for the Coral Fantasy pattern included in the book?

I don't know how much you will need, but if you are looking for batiks, go to MaryJo's Cloth Store. They have a huge selection of batiks. The colors on the computor are true and they are $6.99 a yard. I have ordered from them several times and it has all been excellent (lqs) quality.

Yardage requirements on batiks are always at least 1 yard of each one available. LOL I have no idea, I just love batiks and would have a room full if I could afford it.
