I have the Sunbeam Steam Master Lx. I LOVE IT!!! I bought it at Walmart 14 years ago. To say I got my use out of it is an understatement. If I could find a second one, I would buy it again. It has a retractable cord. I need to purchase a back up iron, so I am in the market for a back up iron.

You can't get cordless irons in the UK any more, it's most odd. So I never got a chance to try one. I don't use my standard iron for quilting very much anyway, just for pressing fabrics (which I do in occasional batches) and for pressing quilt tops before basting. For all the pressing while I'm piecing, I use a travel iron and a table-top ironing board. Much handier, uses less electricity, and I find that the smaller iron gives greater accuracy.
