It definitely depends what size it actually is and if it is and edge to edge or custome quilted. I do long arm quilting and in my area (rural SW Minnesota) the pricing is about 1 cent per square inch for a pantograph or 1 1/2 cents for custom. So a 65 x 95 quilt for me would be 61.75 for a pantograph or it would be 92.63 for cstomer work. That is comparable to other parts of the country and I know many parts of the country are much higher. I know someone who moved from MN to CA and she charges way more for quilting in CA than she did in MN becuse the market is so different--so your $140 in Orange County is probably within range there. I do not include thread with the quilting so I charge $5 per color, and I do not include the batting either. Customers can either bring their own or purchase it from me. So in my area of the country, $140 would be extremely high if that was ONLY for the quilting.
