This is an article about the cost of cotton rising globally. It's an interesting read...

I stocked up on socks, undershirts, and underwear for DH. He seems to go through those faster then other clothes. I can't see me mending socks but I will if it means new socks or new fabric. LOL

I think the next time I need a shirt or pants, I'll go to a consignment shop. I buy the best I can afford and wear it till it falls apart, then it is buried with full honors for all the years of work it did for me. And in the mean while, I'm going to Estate Sales and Church sales to build up my stash..as if I actually needed more fabric.

Gosh, do you think it could get so bad that we would have to cut up our quilts to make clothes to wear? hee hee!

Re-sale shops, consignment and garage sales often yield good buys on
name brand clothes, and sometimes fabric from an estate sale. Perhaps
by next summer even these items will be more expensive. So the word is:
    Let's go shopping ... Now!
