    I had so many problems with my c & c that I changed to sulkey and guterman. no problems at all now! :)

    Cotton wrapped polyester thread is a less expensive thread. The cotton that is used is normally a short staple cotton and will cause a lot of lint. If you want less lint go to a 100% cotton extra long staple cotton. The longer staples means it will run much cleaner. When using a polyester thread for piecing make sure your iron is set at the "synthetic" setting as the polyester could melt if extreme heat is applied. Machines don't know what thread is being used. Usually it's what the store is selling is what they want you to use. Try experimenting with various threads. Remember, less expensive isn't always better.
