I had made one of their quilts and I will never make another!! A friend and I took the class and we both agree about making anothyer. When the quilt is finished it's quite heavy but looks nice. Making the quilt was very tedious and to have an expensive book for this is ridiculous. All that's needed is following the pattern. So for anyone who's making one of these quilts - good luck.

Quilters TV has the series Betty Cotton did on Sewing with Nancy. You can from from the creator of the quilt-as-you go process. I find her method of quilting very successful, but use it ony for a joining process of large piecrd blocks that I have quilted. Her smaller pieced quilting that she does, I find somewhat stiff and more bulky than I prefer.

We did a class with my guild. The women who taught the class were very nice and did a good job on teaching. My biggest problem with the cotton theory is the cost of the books & patterns and you use lots and lots of thread. You quilt many small pieces, sew them together with large seams, trim and finish. There is a lot of waste of fabric and I felt an overkill on the quilting. Everything is very heavy when done (I made a wall hanging). JMHO
