You will be so happy sharing this "passion" for fabric. Who knows, you may have the next "Vera Bradley" living with you. Cherish the moments and hope they last. You are the lucky lady.

This is what I tell my daughter - thy shalt not covet thy mothers fabric.

Thats just wonderful, she is a lovely lil lady and she does great work. Maybe she could sell some of her bags to us or trade them for fabric, then she could start her own stash.
I want a purple tote with yellows and greens, ;-)

Maybe seek out the Craig's list, rummage sale listings of fabric...new clothes from Goodwill that can be cut up (my teenage sons are always hunting this for me), cotton sheets on clearance or yours re-purposed. You would be also teaching her thrift and economy.

Give her .. her own stash ( in a seperate area or box) that she can cut and sew at will, but anything else she needs to ask permision first. Thats how my Mom managed with four sewing girls in the house. Touching Mom's stash was a HUGE No No .. but we had our own smaller stash and periodically she would give us an allowance to add to our own , and she would sometimes de-stash and have an auction amoungst us girls.

Count your blessing. She could be out and about and getting into trouble. Sharing your stash is a much cheaper and better way to go. Love it.:)

WoW!! What a pretty smile and a lovely bag..... it took my DD years to get interested in sewing and now she lives too far away for us to sew together.... I envy all the years you two will have together sewing..... and I agree, she needs to have her own stash... you might want to borrow from her at some point.

With that smile on her face you are correct when you say your stash is in jeopardy! She did a great job on her bag!
