If you caught my last post, you know I was hoping to make this quilt which just the fabric I bought at the quilt shop I went to on my birthday. But after reading the comments it seems like making a decent sized quilt with just 1/2 yard of each color is impossible. So I'll just have to see when I can get back to that quilt shop and get more fabric.

I want 12" blocks so the quilt will be 60"x60". I really suck at making templates or figuring out yardage so if there's anyone that can help me figure this out that would be awesome.

That is going to be a beautiful quilt. You might try this site to calculate yardage: http://www.vrya.net/quilt/flash/QuiltCalc_Loader.html

I used it for the Thinking Outside the Block design I am doing & found it very easy to use. Basically numbered my fabrics, figured number of each size of each shape & plugged it in. Print out the results for each & you have the cutting layout too.

Let me know if you need help. Could play with it one evening at home.

I'm mathematically challenged, so I can't help you there, but this is going to be a really beautiful quilt. Good luck!

I just drew it in EQ7. I'll PM you to see what you want. I made it 13" blocks so that it would look like you wanted.

In EQ 6 you can either PP or regular piece. If you can find a printer, like at an office supply store or such, that can make 13" copies, I'd suggest that and then PP. You can use any lightweight paper and shorten the stitch length.
