    Default Country Lanes quilt

Just saw on another post the Country lanes quilt block. Of course my last three comments have not posted. I'll try starting a new post. I have literally 100's of four patch blocks. I just keep making four patches with my 2.5 left overs. They all consist of two white blocks & two colored blocks. Can I use these and make a country lanes scrappy. The sashing & corner stones will be the same two fabrics.

Did you mean that single Irish Chain pattern made from 4 patches?? Yes, just make sure you have enough fabric for the background squares.

Here's what I did with my leftover 2 1/2" squares. Like you, I started with four patches of two darks and two lights, then put together eight patches and then sixteen patches. At that point I made them into rows. I threw in a half square triangle or square with four HSTs every so often for interest.

Now if only I'd quilt the darn thing!

Love these scrappy ideas. Anxious to see how one would quilt these.

I think I would just quilt a large meander all over it.
