I've never heard of that. I have run over a pin and created a divot on the blade edge. I am glad that your husband found it before it broke. You could have really hurt yourself if you had been pressing on it when it snapped.

Never heard of that either, sure have heard of people having two blades in at the same time though. Good thing you weren't hurt.

Humm I haven't ever heard of that either. Did it hurt your holder along with the blade? Good thing you are ok. Something to check before we cut.

I had one crack on me too! Actually noticed that hsi batch(I buy pack of 5) seemed to dull very quickly-had to change them after cutting squares from just a few yards of fabric

I wonder what Olfa would say if you contacted them....perhaps worth a phone call and/or an email at least. You have nothing to loose....

That's quite scary!!! You could be maimed. Now I'm going to be very careful. If it happened to two people here, it can happen to anyone. And a piece of it can fly....

Pretty sure Olfa would like to know about it and also should replace it
