Default Craftsy class: Color Play for Quilters

I received a notice for this class today and was wondering if anyone else has taken the class or planning to? Also do most of us doubt ourselves when it comes to color choices or have a problem that we choose all one value (light, medium, or dark)? I've had different people (most are quilters) tell me that I have a good eye for color and fabric color combinations, but I'm always doubting myself when choosing more than three fabrics. I've bought books on the subject and still seem to struggle (I'm a visual person).

I hear you Joyce888 - after three color or at most five I start to lose my perspective. So I just stay with 5 colors at most. If you figure it out let us know.

I got the same notice and am debating whether to take it. I think I do okay with color selection, but always doubt myself, too.

I allso seem to doubt my self when trying to pick out colors, so I mostley stick to scrappy quilts and they seem to come out ok.

Well you may as well try it. They have a Guarantee. I also found the "Scrap Quilting" with Pepper Cory rather helpful for choosing colors as well.

From the Craftsy website FAQ - http://www.craftsy.com/about/faqs

We are confident you will enjoy your Craftsy courses. If for any reason they do not meet your expectations, we will refund 100% of your fees. See more information on the Service Guarantee

I received a sale notice from Craftsy this morning that all classes are $19.99 or less through Sept 17th. The Color Play class was $39.99, on sale for $19.99. I'm signing up!

the more you make quilts the better your color choices become. For me...I can't see paying 20.00 for color choices. you maybe able to find a free video on Utube.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sale. I think I'm going to go ahead and sign up for the class. I did look at the Jinny Beyer Utube video and found it interesting.
