There are several embroidery machines listed on Craigslist in Charlotte area. most a little more than I had money to spend on right now. Have not recovered from Christmas yet. OH I am a neighbor. I live in Lake Wylie right over the river from Charlotte.

I bought a Bernina Deco 600. It is a few years old. And it has 2 extra program cards, small, medium and large hoops... plus lots of threads and goodies. I am going to pick it up next Wednesday... Can hardly wait!!!!

I love CL!! I have about 12 cities I look at (friends in all of them) and thats how I have found some really killer deals on sewing machines. I have also sold several things on CL and never had any issues and always made money.
As far as the drives I dont mind driving 12 hours or so one way to pick up something. Most of the flea markets and swap meets I go to are that far away and we make it a day trip as such. Drive all night to get there by 7am and hang out most of the day looking and buying and hop back in the truck around 3pm and come on home.

I drove 2 hours from my house (4 hour round trip) to the middle of nowhere (she said she had a lot of calls but no one wanted to drive that far & that's why she still had it) needless to say I came home with the machine. I know it's not fancy but it does more then I thought it would. She gave me a crash corse while I was there & said I could call her if I had any questions. I'm so excited! Now I'll have to find something else to whine about, lol.
