Thank you all for the responses. Love all the pictures!!!!! I've been doing more reading and video watching. I can see that it could be overwhelming and knowing me, would get shoved to the back of the list for a while. So I'm going to start very small at first. I'm planning cotton fabric on a white foundation and will hopefully do the dec. stitching after each seam. My first task will be to dig out the fabric from my stash and get it all washed and pressed. I think that will be really important on this project. I'd like to machine embroider all the centers with some to be decided motif and then cut them into the shapes I need. If I can get that done in between doing all my UFO's this year, I'll call it good.

To me, Judith Baker Montano, is the queen of Crazy Quilting. Here is her website, I have 6 of her book, they are TRUE works of art. Her embroidery work on the quilts and also on wall art and wearables, are unmatched. She was a guest on The Carol Duval's show for years and years. I did a couple of 'wall hanging' quilts for friends, years ago, the size of small paintings. I keep saying one day I will do a lap crazy quilt. I have saved all the 'elegant' fabrics, velvet, satin, etc. Here is the link, it may take awhile: http://www.judithbakermontano.com/index.html

These are just three of the books I have and I wouldn't part with them. Have had them for years.
