I'm working on my first crazy quilt and am wondering how I should go about quilting it. I have 9 inch blocks which will be stitched together to make a couch throw. I'm wondering after sandwiching, what is the best method to quilt. Any ideas? :?:

Have you thought about tying it instead of quilting? I've used perle cotton (usually found around the embroidery floss). It doesn't seem to fray as much as crochet thread, embroidery floss or yarn.

I made a crazy quilt. last year. It is queen size, I tyed mine with blue satin ribbon. Mind you I got very ornate with my crazy quilt and went off with victorian-deco, My own color theme of nothing but various blues. Your right about it being to thick to quilt. By hand or machine. So I tyed, and used the blue narrow satin ribbon to add to the victorian style as well as to the charm of the quilt. I rarely tye my quilts, but this one begged for it.
