I always have a cross stitch project on the go, as well as my hand quilting and machine quilting.

When I was in college a friend of mine tried to talk me into trying cross stitching. I just could not get over the 'mess' on the back and told her no. We graduated and moved on with our lives - and lo and behold - - -I discovered cross stitching on my own - LOVE IT... our first year of marriage I told my husband we would always have new handmade ornaments each year - to add to our collection - the first year - all new cross stitch ornaments - 22 years later we still have them!

I am a cross stitcher too. I have --ahem :? -- a "few" unfinished projects. Since I am consumed with quilting at the moment, I haven't touched any of them for months.

I will get back to them at some point :-D

OH I do this as well, I've got a ton of projects started right now.I like the huge BAPs that take years to do....mostly because I tend to cross stitch in the summer when it too hot to mess with quilting or much machine sewing and the big pieces of fabric for cutting.
I love TW's, Mirabilia's, MLI's, and have started on HAED's and am very happy I bought a ton of CS related stash during more solvent days because it's paying off during my DH's recent lay-off and current under-employment situation, lol All I have to do is shop my stash! :D

Oh, yes - been cross stitching since the early 80's. Still do some, but my eyes are not doing as well with the X's and the colors. Bummers.

Oh, I've been doing counted cross stitch for many, many years. I'm working on a piece called "Summer Queen" by Mirabella. I have both of the Winter and Spring Queens done, so now it's just the Summer and Fall to do.

Ever consider hosting a "finishing" party? You get to finish a project or two and enjoy the company of others as you do it. It's lots of fun, especially if it's a BYOB (bring your own bag lunch) or a potluck.
