Crown Royal Bag Quilt - Anyone Made One?

I have someone who wants me to make a quilt out of Crown Royal bags that her husband has been collecting. Has anyone ever made one of these? Got any tips for making one? Or pics of one you've made? I just can't picture a quilt made out of these bags & I need some inspiration. It just seems like this would be an ugly quilt... 
A friend of mine made one for her husband and it was GORGEOUS!

I have a design on here I came up with for the 50 bags someone gave me. being in La. I'm using yellow, green, and purple, the stars in the middle are the only part made out of the bags. Mardi Gras Quilt.
