WOW!! That is my kind of gift!! I have never bought a collection, except the Frosted Donut, 36 bobbins filled with Masterpiece thread, for applique. I have been tempted when I look at Connecting Threads, they are sooo pretty.

The only time I bought a thread collection was when I first recieved my embriodery machine. That was a great investment! Otherwise, I buy as I go, paying attention to when thread goes on sale at Jo-Ann's. I feel you save more money by only stocking up on what you use most and then matching colors for special projects as they come along. I sew about 4 days a week and still buy thread this way.

I have bought from several thread manufactures if the price is agreeable. I have never been disappointed with a selection.
