I made my DH a Quillow---used Harley scarf in the center and red/black starry blocks. So when he isn't napping it's folded neatly and looks fine on the den couch.
BTW, he's always been a big Harley fan/owner.
    Happy quilting, Kutnso

After relating the sad stories I read here about gift quilts, my husband gave his consent to share that he loved his quilts. A couple are double fleece with different battings, high loft and insulbrite that he uses in the truck when camping. Another couple are double fleece with high loft that are his nappers. I'm working on a lighter one with his coffee designs on it, but I don't know if I'll be able to move his fleece quilt to my sofa. May have to make one for me.

My DH totally loves his! He snuggles on the couch with it and our two "little angel-drops from heaven" LOL

Pat is so happy with his tumbling blocks. After all he picked the fabric and the pattern. He uses it when he sleeps on the couch (NO - not banished - just his choice at times)

When I first started quilting my Hubby wanted and asked for a Star Quilt, it was my second quilt so using Eleanor Burns' "Quilt in a Day Radiant Star" (not in a day for me...lol) that is what I made him. He wanted it for the camper, and that was 4 years ago. Since, I have all sizes of quilts all over now and not only hubby but my sons when it's cool this time of year they all grab something to snuggle under in.

I thought the same thing. Until I made him one he uses it all the time while watchin tv and when he isnt using it our 20 year old cat is. But he says it reminds him of his blanky when he was a kid. Mind you he is 57 now.. Go ahead and make him one I'll bet he will just love it to pieces.

My husband has a lap quilt that he uses in winter while watching TV. I have one too.

I didn't read all of the responses (but will!). My husband likes different colors than I do, so I make some in "his" colors to use on our bed.

Also, at some point he will be gone for a year with the company he works for, and I like to think he will have the things I make him as a comfort. :)
