Curious- what do you use fancy stitches for?

When I'm doing wearable art, I use the decorative stitches a lot. They trim sleeves or front plackets nicely. You can also use them in place of a straight stitch to top stitch clothing or purses. They make a nice added touch.

My passion for using the fancy stitches is with crochet thread and others in the bobbin ( a separate bobbin). Of course the fabric is turned over with the right side under. Takes a bit more effort and fiddling around, but looks fabulous on crazy patchwork & vintage look items.

I use mine when sewing the self binding baby blanket. I also use them in quilt bindings, especially baby quilts, charity quilts, but most of all I use them in my Crazy Quilting blocks, place mat, table runners and sometimes in pockets of aprons.
