I use batting shears to cut my batting. They are wonderful. Bought them from Nancy’s notions
a new cutter blade helps too.

I only cut batting with my rotary cutter to trim quilts before sewing on the binding. I use an old blade. No fuzz as the batting is between the top and back of the quilts. If I need to cut batting by it's self I just rough cut with scissors.
