My DH gave me a fishing filet glove to use. So far I haven't used it.

I totally agree with this thought. I'll bet they don't even use those ridiculous gloves in their private quilting.
Having said that though, I have to confess to slicing off the side of the tip of my left index finget with my rotary cutter one time. That thing bled for 3 days no matter now much pressure I used. I would still never fool with that floppy looking glove though.

Guess I live on the edge too. Never thought of trying a no slice and dice glove. So far, so good, but I'm sure the time will come. Ouch!

I would never wear one. I've been using a rotary cutter since it came out and I've never cut myself.
    Ditto!

I thought these gloves just had to be what I needed as I, like all quilters use rotary cutter's on a daily basis. However, the glove does not fit so my hand is always in the wrong place. The glove is just plain bulky and I quit trying to use it. This is one of the items I will put on my wasted money list.

It's not the same type of glove that you use to FMQ. But, I'm not sure why you can't use the F&P glove for FMQ if it weren't' so bulky. My quilting gloves fit much better than my Klutz glove.

I don't wear a glove but I am very careful. So far. knock on wood, I haven't cut myself. Just take your time when cutting & be aware of where your hand is.

FMQ gloves also have to really grip. I'm not sure I could even do it without them.
