I have both and use them both. I use the Go more though. They both cost about the same but with the Go you will want to buy different dies to get the full use of it. The Alto is very well made and will hold the fabric for you as you cut, that is a plus for me when cutting yardage.

I have arthritis in my hands and the accuquiltgo is too hard for me to work.
I only do no more than 2 layers at a time when I cut any material unless I am using my MrQuilt Third Hand [bought years ago, don't know if he makes them anymore.] and then only use 4 layers.

I'm with you. I think this is a great system, and like you say, no expensive dies and it does the job
