I have a big JuneTaylor which I like, but I never use the grid lines to actually measure something. I do use them to line things up, but measure with my rulers. I also have a small Olfa and really like it. I think when I buy another, I will buy the Olfa. I'd really like a huge table that I can set up to use and also a place to use the turntable mat. I think that would be great!

i have a couple of mats in different sizes and when i went to buy a new rotary cutter, for only a dollar more i could have another mat that was 18" x 18". really weird promotion. but i had a coupon, so what the heck!
my dh cut the mat 18" round and attached it to a lazy susan from home depot. when i'm in my grave, that thing will still be rollin' around. since i tend to use the smallest mat for each use, i really love the rolling one. it's perfect for 12" squares. it's a fiskars, like the cutter.

I have 2 medium size Olfa mats which I've had no problems with, but I bought a large Fiskar mat at Joann's for half price and I love it. It's a different color on each side; so if your fabric blends in too much on one side, you can turn it over and use the different color on the other side.
