    You can try out the heights of cabinets that are extras at your local DIY store. That way you can see what fits you best.

    I am very veritcally challenged, and I found it helped to use those interlocking floor mats to raise myself to the right height where my arm is at the 90 degree angle just right for cutting. I use the same criterea for the ironing board and the quilting long arm machine.

    It really depends on you and how you use it. I must sit down to cut, so it is height relative to my chair that counts. I was using a banquet table, but my DH brought my Great great grandmother's table in from storage, so I am using that how (with a BIG cutting mat)
