My dad will be turning 65 in July and we are having a surprise party for him. I want to make a quilt for him for his birthday.. Any suggestions? I was thinking about something with some pictures our family and his family growing up.. Not sure how to do that though. What are some of ur thoughts?

Do a search for "memory quilt". You will find many example of quilts using photos. Good luck and let us see photos of what you end up doing.

If you are asking how you can get the photos on farbic they make printer friendly fabric sheets that you just put in your printer and print right on them like paper. There is also a product called bubble jet set that you rinse your fabric in and then iron it to a piece of freezer paper, cut to fit in the printer and then print normally.

You can also buy fabric already treated and ready to go. I recently used Printed Treasures (the one in the green pack) and it worked great. Got it at Joanns.

I use the Electric Quilt EQ Printables. They are simple to use and work great

In my Quilters World magazine (April's) which just came today there's a 'Shining Star' quilt pattern, which includes pictures, a wedding invitation, favorite sayings, etc, in it! It's also a 'scrap friendly' project. :)
