I cut the fabric for a "Warm Wishes" baby quilt, sewed the strip sets, cut them in squares, and have the blocks on my design wall. Did the sewing on my 1952 Singer Featherweight *Ü*

I guess I will start "manana". too late tonight. I am piecing a king size Trip Around the World as a wedding gift. Need to finish it by March. It is freezing here tonight I can hear the wind machines that the citrus grower are running all night long.

I did some more sorting of fabric. My niece and her boyfriend gave me 4 big boxes filled with mixed up fabric just stuffed inside. His quilter grandma passed away and the family was thrilled to have somebody who would appreciate it all. I'm folding each piece and making piles. Next phase is to then take out my drawers of colors and see what I can fit in. Whatever is left will be donated to my quilt club. It'll hurt to give it away, but I want to keep my 800sq' little home clean & tidy which helps it appear larger. My projects are on hold until I can get all this fabric out of my living room so I don't look like a hoarder. We all must admit, Fabric is fun!

Last night I cut the HST's for another star block. I'm making a queen-sized quilt for our bed. Every other quilt top I've made have either been baby or lap quilts. I'm making every star with different fabrics to give it a scrappy look. 2 colors per star, with a white tonal background. I need to get one star block made then I'll have enough for one row. (I'm making 7 rows of 7 blocks each).

Last night pulled out all the pieces of batting that have been accumulated, kinda sorted them by size, and will start sewing them together today after I finish QB. Then tonight will try and match up tops and batting and start getting the backing for each one. I'm sloooowly working my way thru the stack of UFO's that have piled up.

I did sort fabric, look at the quilt tops that need to be finished. Planned what I am going to do next. Then thought about the baby quilt for a friends soon to be new DGD. My baby quilts finished or more for a boy baby. So I now need to call her ask her colors for the new little one. But oh dear, no actually sewing. But getting ready!
