Finished piecing 2nd UFO of the year. DD will quilt it on her relatively new midarm. Started cutting for my Yosemite quilt. Hope to start piecing it tonight.

I'm piecing my Yosemite quilt tonight. There's a 12 X 18 " panel in the center with postcard size prints around it. When I originally drew it on graph paper, I messed up on size of panel, so had to rearrange the layout. It's set now--just have to sew.

Tomorrow is the night I set aside to spend in my sewing room. I can't wait. I plan on organizing as much fabric as I can and maybe a little sewing. Wish me luck!

I bought a bag of 3 inch blocks for $3.50 in 8 different yellow fabrics, 185 total fabrics.. Also purple and beige bags too. So while I am piecing, I use these blocks as leaders and enders. Tonight I took two that were sewed together and matched them with two different prints so I can sew them together tomorrow into 4 patch blocks. I was able to do this while watching NCIS and now I have threads all over my sweater.

Last night I finished piecing a king size quilt top. Tonight, I cleaned my machine, changed the needle and changed the blade on my rotary cutter. I am also looking at table runner fabrics and patterns and Amy Butler Weekender bag pattern. Between the next quilt and the runner and bag, I now have to decide which to start tomorrow night.

I've been handquilting a Christmas quilt for one of my granddaughters. I only have one more row to do and this will be done. I have four more to go. I have five granddaughters and each will get one. I hope to have ALL of them done by this Christmas. I want to give the quilts to them all the same time.
Also did some sewing on a quilt for a friend.
